Udon Carbonara is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions daily. They’re nice and they look fantastic. Udon Carbonara is something that I have loved my entire life.

Inspired by Marugame Monzo, I was so excited to figure out how easy it is to make Miso Carbonara Udon at home. One of my favourite dishes at Kinka Izakaya is their Udon Carbonara, it's creamy, rich and the perfect example of fusion done right. Unfortunately, it's not available at all of their locations. When Stephen and I recently stopped by the Kinka North York outpost, we were disappointed that Udon Carbonara.
Instructions to make Udon Carbonara:
- Slice the bacon into bite-sized pieces. Combine the ingredients marked ● and mix well. Coat a frying pan with olive oil and fry the garlic.
- When the garlic has become fragrant, add and fry the bacon and mushrooms. When cooked through, add the milk and season with salt and pepper.
- Wash the udon noodles to remove their starchiness. Strain and add to the frying pan.
- Add the ingredients marked ● and mix until it is a suitable firmness. Transfer to a serving bowl, season with black pepper, and it's done.

Udon Carbonara (Izakaya Tomo) For the future, I think I would buy a different brand of frozen udon, this one a touch thicker than some of the other brands. I'd also throw in more Parmagiano Reggiano and use less cream, it would thicken the sauce a touch more and hold on to the noodles a bit better. This is a genuine carbonara recipe using udon noodles instead of spaghetti - I would say it probably tastes better than the original!
